Warf is prescribed for the treatment and prevention of harmful clots that can occur in the veins (venous thrombosis), in the lungs (pulmonary embolism), due to an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), or after a heart valve replacement. Additionally, Warf is utilized to lower the risk of stroke and other complications in individuals who have experienced a heart attack. Warf functions as an anticoagulant by inhibiting the production of specific clotting factors, preventing the formation of blood clots.

Use Warf according to your doctor's instructions. Do not take more or less than prescribed or use it for a period longer than recommended. Adhere to the guidelines on your prescription label. Your doctor may adjust your dosage periodically to ensure optimal results. Take Warf consistently at the same time each day. You can take Warf with or without food. Avoid attempting to lose weight through dieting while on Warf. Inform your doctor if there are any changes to your body weight. Regular blood tests are necessary while taking Warf, so schedule routine visits with your doctor.

If you need antibiotics, surgery, dental procedures, a spinal tap, or spinal anesthesia (epidural), you may have to temporarily discontinue the medication. Continue taking Warf even if you feel fine. Do not skip any doses unless instructed by your doctor. If you miss a dose of Warf, reach out to your doctor immediately. Feel free to ask your healthcare provider any questions regarding the use of Warf.
